What options are out there?
I know of the new Kiesel, Birdsong Hy5, and the drool-worthy Veillette Minotaur, IIRC Warwick do a 32" scale five string now too.
What other options are out there, if there even are more outside of luthier work?

The real Curbows. Not the Cort licensed version. Greg had a model called the Petite. Dont know the scale length, but he did 5 and 6 string basses which i think were shorter than 34.

Personally I don't like short scale basses. I m o You don't get proper string vibration. And I am a big ole boy and a short scale feels like I'm playing a Uke.

I bet they're amazing, but equally difficult to find. I actually really liked the Cort ones, really wish I'd bought one when I'd the chance.
