No more gigs for me for a while. I quit the band today. i'm currently bands less and free as a bird. It's really bittersweet cause I like everyone in the band, but things change and so must I. I'm plan on becoming that guy who is always like, "Hey you wanna jam". Everybody is going to hate me.

So, I back out of the gig Saturday. About a month ago they asked me to do it and I said yes. Then, about two weeks ago they asked me again and I confirmed again. Couple of days before the gig they were all surprised to learn that I was playing. And I didn't just tell one person, I told all of them twice.
Well, the camel's back couldn't take any more when the guitarist contacted me about practicing and we both agreed on a time. Then the guy pulled a no call no show on me. Didn't even let me know he wasn't gonna show... Many hours later he texted me apologizing and blaming a 4 hour sleep for not knowing how to use a damn phone.

Yeah my band's like this too. I think it happens as you get older. People have other priorities, if they're not professional musicians.
