B string is the greatest tool ever invented for making horn sections happy.
Remember, R&B was recorded in "Horn Keys". Bb, Eb. B string makes transposition a dream.
Try playing "I got you" in low D.
Fabulous.

Fabulous. I don't think I could survive without a B. I did good with D standard for a while but it was a little convoluted in my mind. |
