I had a really great time last night playing bass so two of my friends could audition a drummer. It went extremely well and they asked me if I wanted to join the band. Sadly, I had to tell them I wasn't able to commit at the time because I'm not sure how much my life will change when my second kid arrives in July/August.
I figured committing and then flaking later would be a real dick move. I offered to sub for them, so I'm hoping I get the chance to play with them occasionally. Anybody else have to turn a great opportunity down because of changes in your life?

Your life gonna turn upside fucking down when that 2nd kid is born, good move. I hadda leave both my bands when the twins were born.

Im probably not much help, cause twins are different. Make sure you have all those things that swing the baby. Sleep when you can. Keep the place babyproof so those 20 minute catnaps are safe. Oh and Sprout cable channel lol.
